Bitcoin and Ethereum open higher before losing steam

BTC opened at $66,509 on July 22 (+2%) but slipped to $65,557, while ETH opened at $1,929 before easing — a familiar pattern of morning strength fading.
Bitcoin opened at $66,508.87 on Wednesday, July 22, up 2% from Tuesday, and reached its highest level in weeks before losing momentum and slipping to $65,556.99 by mid-morning Eastern time. Ethereum opened at $1,928.62, up 1.3%, and eased to $1,918.35.
The intraday fade echoed a pattern that had recurred through July: firm openings that struggled to hold as the session wore on. Even so, both majors were trading comfortably above their early-July levels, with Ethereum flirting with the $1,930 mark.
The question hanging over the market was whether the improving tone could survive the next macro or geopolitical shock.
