'Green July' off to a solid start as Bitcoin ETFs snap a 10-day outflow streak

BTC opened at $61,493 on July 3 (+2.5%) and ETH at $1,698 (+5.6%). Spot Bitcoin ETFs pulled in $222 million on July 2, breaking a 10-day run of redemptions.
Bitcoin opened at $61,492.99 on Friday, July 3, up 2.5% from the prior day, while Ethereum opened at $1,698.37, up 5.6%. The gains extended a rebound that began after a soft June jobs report revived hopes for Fed easing.
Crucially, the flows turned too: spot Bitcoin ETFs drew $221.72 million in net inflows on July 2, breaking a 10-day run of redemptions that had weighed on sentiment through late June.
There's a seasonal wrinkle behind the optimism. Historically, whenever Bitcoin has posted a 'red' June it has tended to bounce back with a 'green' July — and June 2026 was Bitcoin's worst month in four years. Prices did give back some of the early strength later in the session, but the tone to open the month was decidedly firmer.
